National President, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi has challenged all contestants and supporters in the recent  chapter elections to desist from joining issues or attacking professional colleagues following what transpired during the elections.

Those who emerged victorious should run include chapter management teams to carry everybody along.

Chief Ezisi gave the charge in Lagos, Wednesday, during the well attended inauguration of the newly elected chapter executives of the Western Zone.

On prompt remittance to the national headquarters, he stressed that there is zero tolerance for any default.

“It is pertinent for me to let you know that  your primary assignment at chapter level and as subordinates to me at the national level is to assist in getting funds to enable us deliver all our promises to the general members of NAGAFF.

“So, failure to pay your monthly remittance  dues at the right time amounts to grievous offence and gross misconduct which attracts emergency reinforcement and punishment as entrenched in the NAGAFF supreme constitution.

“It is no longer going to be business as usual; this is the time to change for better. I pray that nobody among you will be used as scapegoat to test my emergency powers.”

He charged chapter leaders that in line with the NAGAFF Constitution, it is mandatory that they hold monthly meetings to enable them interface and understand the plight and challenges of chapter members.

“Each chapter is also expected to write monthly report of their activities and challenges enumerated during their monthly meetings and submit to the National Headquarters for evaluation, prompt decision -making and actions. Failure to do this will attract sanctions accordingly.”

He reminded the new executives of the need to adhere to the NAGAFF organogram structures and lines of authority which must be strictly adhered

to in sequential order from top to bottom.

“No order or instruction will flow without due regard to the NAGAFF organogram structure”, he cautioned.

Ezisi announced that from the Western Zone, the presidential visitation to chapters would kick off in October, 2022.

On a new national secretariat, the National President assured that the planned movement to a permanent site was on course.

“It is our collective resolution at the commencement of our administration to move NAGAFF to its permanent site. I can assure you that nothing whatsoever can deter us from achieving this promise. That is why all hands must be on deck to rake in funds for this capital project.

“All I need from all of you as chapter executives is to cooperate and make it a success story.”
