Cleric Tasks Nigerian Youths On Good Behaviour, Fear Of God

The President and General Overseer of the United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC), Rev Dr James Bayo Owoyemi has called on Nigerian youths to shun vices and live a positive and God-fearing lives, saying that is guarantee achievement of their dreams and future ambition.

The President and GO of UACC added that the youths should be focused, prayerful and render praises to Almighty God irrespective of the situation in the Country, assuring there would definitely be turn around for good.

Rev Dr Owoyemi who was fielding questions on the prevalence moral decadence among the youths, shortly after the end of service commemorating the 60th Anniversary of UACC and Annual Supreme Executive Council Meeting of the Church, which commenced in Lagos on Friday, August 15 and ended on Sunday, August 17, 2025, lamented that a lot of the youths are using the conditions they find themselves in the Country as excuses, saying those excuses does not follow, but wrong excuses and notion.

“You know, most people, they are giving excuses because of things like this or that, why they are involved in all these.

He warned on the consequences of sins and going against the directives of God.

“God will not take any excuse for misbehaving from anybody. So there is no excuse for misbehaving or for doing things against God.

“We should know that God remains God. Our God has not changed. Circumstances may be changing, but God remains.

“His commandments and everything he say remains. His words remain. So, we should warn our people.

“There are consequences for every evil deed. So, whoever that is engaged in all this immoral behavior, we are just urging them change their attitude, because God will not spare anybody who is doing evil.

“That is it. So because of the current situation, we should not allow that to bridge us against God. I am urging our people, the people of this country, regardless of their religion, they should come to God. Because it’s only in God that we have solutions. God is the solution of all.”
