We Shouldn’t Use Nigeria’s Situation To Judge God-Rev Dr Owoyemi

The President and General Overseer of the United Apostolic Church of Christ (UACC), Rev Dr James Bayo Owoyemi, has called on Nigerians to be steadfast, have faith in God, saying that God would surely intervene in Nigeria’s situation.

He said Nigerians should not use the hash situation to judge and conclude that God is not listening to their cry.

The cleric who was responding to questions in an interview concerning the hash situations in the country, at the end of UACC’s annual Supreme Executive Council meeting and the 60^th anniversary celebration of the church, noted that God, as a problem solver would solve and heal the challenges in the Country.  

He said this was the reason why the focus of his message during the program was on Christ and praises.

He noted that there may be diverse situations, adding that such would not change the fact that God remains God.

“So we have to be praising God in all circumstances and situations.

“When we praise God, that means that we are exalting God above our challenges.

“Definitely the problems will be over. So that is why we are talking to our people.

“We need to praise God. The Bible says we should praise God in everything. According to the will of God. That’s what God wants.

“God knows that we have problems, but He wants us to praise God.

“So, when we praise God, none of our problems will remain the same, but there will be solution. So it’s centered on Him.

“We should not be discouraged. We should remain steadfast and know that God remains God. What we are experiencing in the current situation in the country is not new.

“In the past, from the Bible, we heard about situations like this.

“In this case, God will intervene in the situation of Nigeria. We should know that our God remains God.

“We should be focused and faithful to our God. We should be praising God, even for Nigeria. We should not be looking at what is going on in Nigeria and be using that to judge God.

“Our God remains God. He is a problem solver. He will solve the problems we are facing in Nigeria.

“We should be praying for the country. We should be praying for our leaders in this country. I would believe that with God’s intervention, all these problems will be over,” the Cleric enthused.
