NSML, Temile Development Company Signs LoI For Ship Construction Supervision Services

L-R Alfred Temile, MD/CEO Temile Development Company Limited, and Abdulkadir Kere Ahmed, MD/CEO of NLNG Shipping and Marine Services Limited (NSML) during the signing of  Letter of Intent in London for ship construction services related to the construction of a Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) at Hyundai Heavy Industries Company Limited at the shipyard in South Korea on Wednesday.

NLNG Shipping and Marine Services Limited (NSML) and Temile Development Company have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for ship construction services in relation to the construction of one (1) Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) at Hyundai Heavy Industries Company Limited at the shipyard in South Korea.

Sophia Horsfall, General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development for NSML disclosed in a statement made available to journalists.

She said the event was held at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane, London, on the sidelines of the shipbuilding contract signing ceremony between Temile Development Company Ltd and Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.

Mr. Abdulkadir Ahmed, NSML’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, thanked the management of Temile Development Company for partnering with NSML for the supervision of the vessel, which is coming on the back of the highly successful supervision of the LPG Alfred Temile 10.

He also emphasised the strong and collaborative relationship between NSML and Temile Development Company, which has driven advancements in maritime operational excellence both locally and internationally.

The construction supervision services are anticipated to commence from February 2027 up till the delivery of the vessel, scheduled for January 2028, in line with the vessel’s master schedule.
