 Indorama MWUN Unit Commends Comrade Bunu Over Signed CBA

Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria
The workers of the Indorama Unit of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has commended the President General of the Union, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, on the signing of its Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Indorama Company (OIPL) FOT, is located in Onne Port Complex, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head, Media of MWUN who disclosed in a statement made available to journalists said the Unit in a letter jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Obarijima and the Secretary, Comrade George O. Moses described Comrade Bunu as a President -General, whose listening ears and commitment towards workers’ plight and welfare was second to none in the industry.
The letter noted that the PG would not compromise in any way, nor took workers’ priority for granted; saying that Workers’ efforts towards the growth of the nation’s economy can never be undervalued.
The workers also stated that the Union’s diplomatic moves coupled with the PG’s genuine intentions for the workers also played a vital role in making sure the entire exercise was possible for the just concluded Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The Unit said that the transparent leadership of the Union under the PG was sacrosanct and that was the ideal factor, which made the CBA a complete success; given the mutual benefit desirable for the workers; and for the optimum growth of Indorama as a company.
The Unit, however in unison prayed for the Union, the PG, while also thanking the management of Indorama for their undiluted sincerity of purpose over the entire exercise.
