The Nigerian delegation included the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Dayo Mobereola, and the Director of Maritime Safety and Security at the Ministry, Mr. Babatunde Bombata.

The visit marked a significant step in Nigeria’s campaign for election into the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), leveraging the shared membership of the 167 ISA member states—who are also members of the IMO.
