The COWA which recounted its achievements so far during the end of year party for 2024, also pledged to organise mentorship and train the trainers’ events in 2025.

She added that 2025 shall feature more training and empowerment programmes to strengthen customs officers’ wives financially and provide needed support for widows of late officers too.

According to her, the chapter had achieved establishment of a functional skill acquisition centre, provision of oven gas cookers, mixers, startup capital and other items.

She said the chapter recently organised a medical outreach event focusing on mental health and other issues of medical concern where medication and counseling were freely provided.

According to her, the chapter also provided free reading glasses after eye tests. She said in the spirit of the yuletide, she led her team on a visit to the female custodial centre at Kirikiri Correctional Facility in Lagos, where donations were made in addition to counseling.
