‘Notorious’ Anambra Precious Baby Home at Ukpor sealed off

Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs embarked on action-packed operation to Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area of the State and  sealed off the notorious Precious Baby Home.

This was done under the supervision of Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue.

The Taskforce was given the mandate and responsibility of inspecting Orphanage Homes functioning and operating in the State to avoid child trafficking and abuse of child rights and privileges.
It was an all round exercise that witnessed massive impact and successful visitation to all the children homes in communities of Anambra State.

Reacting to this exercise, a member of the community commended the actions of the Commissioner for the taking the painstaking responsibility in visiting the community and sealing off the notorious Orphanage Home which has become a slave camp for pregnant young women and promotion of human trafficking activities in the community.

He was all thankful to God that Ukpor has been freed from hosting an evil home.

Precious Baby Home, Ukpor is an illegal orphanage home that uses children for alms begging business and sales of new born babies from pregnant young girls who doesn’t want the babies to any high bidder for profit making purpose.

During her rounding up inspection visit to Community Children Home in Umuoji, the Commissioner expressed desire to keep the task going in order to fishing out illegal orphanages home and help in improving the welfare of Children at various homes across the state.

It was an exercise everyone was proud of and pray such momentum and enthusiasm will continue to flow for the welfare of Children in Orphanage Homes.
