The Director-General, National Taskforce to Combat illegal Importation of Small Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism (NATFORCE), Chief Osita Emmanuel Okereke (OON) has adviced the people of Imo State to shun flimsy and baseless allegation by the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha that the incumbent beat up his wife.

Chief Okereke, who gave the advice while speaking with reporters in Abuja, called on all Imo indigenes not to listen to the former governor whom he alleged had ruined the state during his tenure along with his son-in-law.

Speaking further, Chief Okereke who is also the former Chairman, Inter- Party Advisory Council (IPAC) also alleged that Okorocha is a propagandist adding that the incumbent governor, Emeka Ihedioha should be given full support to accomplish his plans for the people and the state.

He also alleged that Okorocha did not win his senatorial seat election alleging further that the Resident Commissioner for the constituency had told the world that Okorocha had forced him to announce the result which saw Okorocha to the Senate is being challenged by the winner.

“We are saying that Rochas is the major problem of Imo State and I am using this medium to tell them to shun him in entirety because his tenure was useless even as he allegedly packed out all the government properties to his personal house after his tenure,” Chief Okereke alleged.

The NATFORCE boss commended the incumbent governor pointing out that Nigerians and Imolites in particular will be surprise to see different human-oriented projects during the 100 days in office celebration of the incumbent governor in next few months.

According to Chief Okereke “the lost glory of Imo State shall come back even though the former governor had exploited the state and her citizens, the people of Imo State who wanted Ihedioha and voted him in massively shall reap positively from the governor because he is God-sent to address all the injustices melted on them by former governor Okorocha.
