A one-time Governor of old Anambra State, Chief Jim Nwobodo, said he returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the support of the Pan-Igbo body Ohaneze Ndigbo to support the party.
He was of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Nwobodo made the statement on Friday at his country home in Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu.
According to him, he had no option than to toe the line already taken by Ohaneze Ndigbo when they had genuine worry about the fate of Ndigbo in Nigeria.
He explained that it was difficult to ignore the call of Ohaneze Ndigbo and turn his back at them when they have a genuine worry about the fate of Igbos in Nigeria.
Nwobodo said he could not pretend all was well in the country with the escalating crisis, ranging from the economy, insecurity, tension among the three arms of government comprising executive, legislature and judiciary.
