The governorship election in Bauch State which was earlier declared as inconclusive will be round-off on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.
This was the decision of an investigation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) into the controversial figures of Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area that was in contention.
INEC said a new Collation Officer will be appointed for Tafawa Balewa Local Government who will complete the tabulation since the results are intact and approved the conclusion of the process on Tuesday.
Thugs had disrupted the collation of the Tafawa Balewa votes and the destruction of the tabulation sheets forcing the Collation Officers Mrs Dominion Anosike to improvise.
In the votes PDP had 40,010 votes in Tafawa Balewa while the APC had 29,862 votes.
Generally, the PDP candidate Senator Bala Mohammed had 469,512 votes, while APC’s candidate, Governor Mohammed Abubakar has 465,453 with 4,059 vote difference.
