Ogbe looks forward to a bright session with Insurance
Top Nigerian Coach Benard Ogbe has been unveiled as the new technical manager of Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin.
Ogbe, who coached defunct Lobi Bank FC of Makurdi and Niger Tornadoes of Minna is one of Nigeria’s best local gaffers.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki represented by his deputy Philip Shaibu, at the unveil, said the club has recruited 15 new players from the major league across the country.
According to him, the technical manager will also assist the Edo Queens get to the top and win laurel for the state.
According to Obaseki, the government has also increase welfare of the players in Bendel Insurance as well as Edo Queens with the male and the female players receiving the same salary.
The governor assured that the state government will give the necessary support to the club in order to move them to the professional league.
Responding, Ogbe said him and his team will work take the club back to its old glory.
While at Lobi, Ogbe took the team to the WAFU Cup finals and won the Challenge Cup (Aieto cup) with Niger Tornadoes.
