The Governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano has reassured that his government is determined to fulfilling his promise of massive road re-construction in the State immediately after the rains.

He was speaking during the burial service of Her Majesty, Lolo Nancy Ifeoma Ezenwa, at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Oba, Idemmili South Local Government Area.

Late Ezenwa, aged eighty-five, was until her death, the wife of the late Traditional Ruler of Oba, Igwe Peter Ezenwa, and mother of a one-time Chairman, Idemmili South Local Government Area, Prince Henry Ezenwa.

Our correspondent reports that the funeral service was attended by government functionaries and dignitaries from across Nigeria, including the immediate past Senator that represented Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Victor Umeh.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke said his government will fulfill the promise of massive road construction in the State as work has already commenced in some sites.

Governor Obiano called on Ndi Anambra to always pay their taxes to enable the government to play its role effectively.

Earlier in a sermon, the Anglican Bishop, Diocese on the Niger, Right Reverend Owen Nwokolo while reminding Christians of the transitory nature of earthly things, charged them to live life that will earn them eternal glory.
