Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has described plans of the Nigeria Air Force to establish Air Force University in the state as commendable and timely development.
The governor, however, applauded the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sidiqque Abubakar for the earlier establishment of the Air Force Special operations Command in Bauchi.
The commendation was made when the Governor and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Air Staff at the Air Force Headquarters Abuja.
The Governor observed that the Air Force boss, being a worthy son of the state, has contributed immensely towards the development of the state in particular and Nigeria as a whole.
He applauded the Air Force for its commitment in containing insecurity and other forms of criminality in the country in addition to outstanding performance in protection of the nation.
The governor appealed for synergy between the Airforce and the state government as his administration was determined to provide enabling environment for security agencies for the protection of lives and property of the citizens.
In his remarks, Air Marshal Abubakar expressed gratitude to the Governor for the visit pointing out that arrangements have reached advance stage for the establishment of Air Force University in Bauchi as well as renovation and expansion of Azare airport.
Air Marshal Abubakar said the force through its reforms agenda, has recorded tremendous successes in the ongoing fight against insecurity across the country.
