The civic center which was designed with many facilities is situated at Aguleri Junction in Anambra East Local Government Area in Anambra State.
The unity Center to be completed in one year will cost the people of Aguleri about one hundred and fifty million naira.
It comprises five hundred sitting capacity hall, skill acquisition center, ICT complex, relaxation centre, restaurant among others.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Managing Director of Anambra State Housing Corporation, Mr. Willie Okafor who is a community leader in Aguleri, said that their people through the Aguleri World Forum and Aguleri National Youth Association, came up with the idea of citing a symbolic institution in the area which will impact on the people around them and bring together all the
arms of Aguleri in promoting brotherliness.
Mr. Okafor who is also the Chairman, building committee of Aguleri World Forum disclosed that it is a civic center that will unite them with their neighbouring communities, changing the perception and narrative people have against them.
He added that their people have keyed into the initiative in ensuring unity among all living around them and taking their youths off the street.
The Chairman on the occasion, Chief Chriscator Ameke who is a former member of the National Assembly, said the event was historic as their people have come together, to identify a purpose which is for development, peace, innovation and empowerment.

Consecrating the land, the Anglican Bishop of Afikpo Diocese, Right Reverend Paul Udogu thanked God for the relative peace being witnessing around that area stating that indeed, the hand of God has taking control and no more war or fight within the neighborhood praying for more fruits and blessings upon the land.
The traditional ruler of Aguleri, Eze Michael Idigo expressed happiness that the event is happening during their time.
The President of Aguleri National Youth Association, Chief Nnamdi Ikeli assured that the youths will not indulge in anything that will tarnish the image of the community.
